Garden restoration project
By Henley on Thames Garden Designer Jo Alderson Phillips.

This a beautiful cottage in a pretty Oxfordshire village which has been restored and modernised by the owners Penny and Tim, who then asked Jo to do the same in the garden.

It was very overgrown and confusing with 'spontaneous' knot shapes dotted about and tall hedges obstructing any garden views.

Jo opened up the views into what is in fact a very large family garden and redesigned and smartened up a knot garden outside the kitchen.

It is simple, classical and very easy to maintain now giveing pleasure year round.

Reclaimed york stone flags and subtle lighting were used to ensure harmony with the old cottage.
