Salvia verticillata 'Purple Rain'

I planted this beautiful, purple salvia in September and it has done well, but I am wondering how hardy it is and whether I should now dig it up and put it in my cool greehnouse for winter? I must say I am reluctant to disturb it unless really necessary.
