Acer Aureum

General post from Mark Pumphrey

This is a small acer that works well in a semi shaded location where the golden foliage will remain bright in fading light levels. The plant does take time to establish and will form a well balanced shape in time so be prepared to leave well alone to allow the plant to do its own thing. I find this plant looks stunning with brunnera 'Jack Frost' planted to its base. The pale blue forget me not flowers of the Brunnera are looking at their best as the foliage of the acer open-stunning!!
