New to Shoot and new to Gardening

Hello everyone! I recently joined Shoot and looking forward to explore this wonderful site and learn a few tricks and tips on the way.
I am very new to gardening, I moved into my current house late last Summer and this Springtime I had a sudden urge to start growing things. I am a bit clueless and at the moment not very organised on my planting. I am also trying to grow from seed but so far the only success was radishes. (flower seeds don't seem to what to grow with me).
I have big plans for the back garden that include completely redesigning it but at the moment we are going with the existing layout.
