The male courgette flowers open wide but the female ones are curled up so I find I can't polinate them. Any solutions?

Don't despair, Denise,
It is not uncommon for the male flowers to open earlier in the season than the female ones. With a little more time, they should catch up. Once they do, the best time to find female flowers open is early in the morning? By the way, where in the country are you?

Thanks for the reply. I live in the West Midlands, and they're coming along quite well - I've already picked 2 small ones! ( I'm the only one who likes them!)
