Hi
Could anyone help with a few suggestions? I have been given two conifers, one a Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd'the other a Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Pottenii' and told they reach a maximum height of 3m.
I would like to add four different specimens to this group, all conical in shape, all different colours and all around the 3m height mark, I realise this is a lot to hope for but is there anything that may fit the bill?
Many thanks Charles

Hi, Charles,
Two of my favourite conifers are Picea pungens and Picea omorika and there are gorgeous dwarf cultivars for both of these species. Picea pungens 'Hoopsii' is top of my Colorado spruce list but 'Koster' is another great choice - both have the typical blue needles of P. pungens. The needles of Picea omorika are distinct, and P. omorika 'Nana' will fit your needs perfectly. Though it will grow to 4m eventually, that will take quite some time.
