My young senecio Sunshine was doing really well until a few weeks ago, it stopped growing and the leaves are gradually fading, curling up, turning yellow, brown, dropping. I've let it dry out and watered it, re-potted, but it still looks sick. It is normally kept in full sun on south side of house. I can't find any info about diseases or pests on senecio Sunshine. Help! What's wrong please?
(Some shoots of the parent plant also had this problem and the shoots died, but the remainder of the parent plant is healthy)

Hi Neil,

What a shame! Could it be that it’s maybe had too much water recently (especially with all the rain)? And have you been feeding it?
In the absence of any clear cause, I’d say it may benefit from a light pruning (removing dead/ damaged tissue, and also removing tips to encourage new growth), a liquid feed, and maybe reducing any watering.

Apologies if this is a bit vague! If in doubt sometimes a bit of TLC can do the trick. Let us know how you get on, and don’t forget to add to your ‘plants I have’ list to receive regular care instructions: Brachyglottis Dunedin Group 'Sunshine' .

Regards
Katy

Thanks for that. I've now added it to my plant list.
Q. When repotted in March I did add some growmore - was that a good thing to do?

Cheers, Neil
