i have brought a tayberry.they call the one i brought tayberry hybrid and i brought the plant from homebase and i wonder if it is a first year wood and why there is no leaves on it .because they save just plant and kept watered.and no where does it say i have to prune it to ground leave i am wondering if this what i might have to do.but it is to late to do this.thanks for your help.

Hi, Janice,
Unfortunately, large, comercial Homebase-like stores tend to leave detailed care information off their labels. Thankfully, the page for Rubus Tayberry Group here on Shoot is very detailed. Assume yours is first year wood. I would expect leaves by now. Plant it out but don't prune this year, way until Feb as per the instructions here on Shoot. You will probably not get the berry yield you would like this year but next year should be much better.
