Greeting all
I have 5 Musa Bajoo plants in containers which are growing really well. Now that the cold weather is upon us they are in the greenhouse and i have lots of 'pups' growing, but dont know how, or if i can cut them off and repot them as cuttings,i would be grateful for any advice on how i could do this. Many Thanks Ian.

Hi, Ian,
Though I don't have much experience with Musa, my gut says leave them for now. They are going dormant and won't put out new roots for a while (i.e. won't be establishing themselves). I do have plenty of greenhouse/glasshouse experience and can tell you that the time for potting up/on is pretty much over. I also know that most bananas growers don't separate pups until they are about 1m high. When you do separate, you need to do so with a spade to get as much of the pup's root as possible.
