When we saw this garden we knew this was our house. Someone before had skilfully designed a layout of several different “rooms” within an ordinary suburban rectangle. The “rooms” wrap themselves around a little circular lawn and are linked by paths, a cobbled stream and stepping stones which lead the eye towards mysterious and enticing hiding places. We hide away by the pond in the heat of the day under the cool shade of the wisteria draped pergola. We sit beneath the cherry tree in the last rays of the evening sun with Serena who is always serene. We enjoy a cuppa on mum's old bench and have a chat with Bonniedog, now sadly buried beneath the weeping pussy willow tree. We lounge on the gin and tonic balcony and survey the scene at the end of a hard working day. We barbeque on the patio with friends and enjoy their company and pick lettuces from our little veg patch. We love it!
