We acquired this garden in September 2008 and it didn't have a single plant in it. We had a clean slate of 2 grass circles and lots of gravel. Since then we have added a herb patch, a hornbeam hedge, a fern garden and veg patch. We have also been planting as many plants as we can in the gravel for year round interest and to give some depth and height to the garden. It feels like a little oasis now and I love pottering around in it.Emma and Thomas Shepherd's garden plan
