An old garden untouched for 2 years, but the basic structures in place. Moved into the bungalow in November 2009 and began to work the garden immediately. It is in the north west of the country on a windswept island, so salty sandy air. Most of the garden gets the sun for most of the day. It consists of, or will consist of three main flower/shrub areas, and a vegetable area. A large raised bed half newly filled with Asparagus, and some smaller metre long containers for vegetables. There is a large decking area capturing morning sun, and one corner patio which is immune to the wind and gets afternoon sun, and a corner decking area which gets early evening sun. The main central area of the garden is made up of a few paving stones surrounded by lots of gravel.Geof's garden plan

About me
After many years I have just restarted to garden, and love it. I was born on Walney Island (Cumbria) in my Grandmother's house, but after some 35 years have just returned to the area after seeing more of the rest of the World than Walney. I have a bungalow at the top end of the inhabited part of the island looking over fields and the mountains of the lake district. It is fantastic.
Gardening expertise
Very Keen
Biggest gardening accomplishments
Over the years in my youth, I grew virtually every vegetable available.
Biggest gardening frustrations
Now I have an established garden structure which is not really to my liking, but to change it would be an immense task.
The gardening project I am currently working on
Establishing various vegetable plots scattered about the garden.
