About me
I must be the last possible person to have been denied being given a 'green fingers' chance; but this never stops me from trying to succeed with my planting attempts. That said, I planted 3 separate goes with sunflower seeds this year (for a family competition) and all failed miserably!
Been to Dorking Garden Centre today and could not resist their sale section of perennial plants, so ended up with Anemone - Lady Diana and Emily; Rudeckia, Osteospermum, Nemestia-Honey pink, Phlox and Dahlia. Although I only know the names of the last two.
I have found two free, dismantle and take away 6ft x 4ft greenhouses this summer and with my 25ft x 9ft allotment plot at the end of the garden, I am looking forward to grasping the magic 'green finger' knack like my Mum has - but then she is 95 years young next month.
All that remains is for me to stick my neck out and say....
'watch this space'.

Biggest gardening accomplishments
I recently sowed some grass seed and it actually seems to be working!! That's a 1st. for me anyway.
Biggest gardening frustrations
My garden must have more stones than the whole of
Shirley Hills - Surrey close by.
The gardening project I am currently working on
Laying paving slabs and quater circles as a patio and to set off the rest of my gardening projects. I can dream can't I?????
As a newbie, my ticks for the for the following Gardening interests must be taken lightly.
