My balcony in Zurich. Open to the south and east, get's oodles of sunshine in the morning before the sun moves round to the other side of the building after lunch. Everything is in pots, many of them blue. I lost the oleander and a couple of other plants over winter, but others miraculously survived.Jo's garden plan

About me
Living in the concrete jungle in Zurich, lucky enough to have a decent sized patio (by swiss standards) at my disposal. A convenient but rather expensive DIY store across the road tempts me with all kinds of gardening paraphernalia. I love browsing the aisles. It's probably a good thing I'm limited to what I can carry home, or push in a shopping trolley.
Gardening expertise
Keen but Clueless
Biggest gardening accomplishments
some of my plants flowered profusely this summer, and we also had a bumper crop of strawberries (before the snails and ants took over) and 2 tomatoes and 3 hot chilis, a blessing after we neglected the tender seedlings by going on holiday earlier in the year.
Biggest gardening frustrations
not actually having a garden. Or any grass. And all that box bush planted in the open space... that would make a great communal lawn or veg patch. Limited to pots on the concrete paving slabs and surrounding concrete wall.
The gardening project I am currently working on
Project 'Winter Survival': my horticultural fleece and bubble wrap are at the ready. I'd also like to get organised and plant some bulbs for Spring time.
