Soil drainage: Boggy damp conditions, Moist but well-drained, Moisture-retentive

Light: Partial Shade

Aspect: West

Exposure: Sheltered

Moved here 4 years ago. My garden is a complete work in progress. Had family move in for 2 years (with kids) thus haven't done as much to my garden as I would like. I am only just learning my gardens likes and dislikes. Like many before and no doubt many after me - have wasted money by purchasing plants which are unsuitable for my garden. I inherited a few absolutely beautiful Rhodedendrons - so I thought great 'Camelias' should do well here. Low and behold none of them have survived. Back to drawing board in that department. I consider my garden to be medium sized - for a city garden - it has plenty of planting areas I have yet to fill. I have been purchasing a few nice plants over the last couple of years and bringing them on to become larger so I can divide and conquer....watch this space!!!
