Moved here 4 years ago. My garden is a complete work in progress. Had family move in for 2 years (with kids) thus haven't done as much to my garden as I would like. I am only just learning my gardens likes and dislikes. Like many before and no doubt many after me - have wasted money by purchasing plants which are unsuitable for my garden. I inherited a few absolutely beautiful Rhodedendrons - so I thought great 'Camelias' should do well here. Low and behold none of them have survived. Back to drawing board in that department. I consider my garden to be medium sized - for a city garden - it has plenty of planting areas I have yet to fill. I have been purchasing a few nice plants over the last couple of years and bringing them on to become larger so I can divide and conquer....watch this space!!!Angie Robertson's garden plan

I am 44 years old and although I have had gardens in each house (4) I have ever lived in, the garden I now have is by far the largest. I love spending time outdoors in my garden but have only recently given up smoking - and am spending a whole lot more time in the garden to keep myself occupied. So I consider myself to be reaping the benefits both health and budget wise.
