My garden goes all round my (detached) house. The front faces the Moray Firth full-on & gets blasted by salty winds. The back faces S/E, with a long raised bed the length of the drive & a decking area up steps at one end.One side of the house is predominantly shady with a raised gravel bed the length of it.The other side has a small lawn surrounded by beds & a gravel path.

About me
I moved here about 5 years ago, from a small, sheltered back garden in Bedfordshire to this huge 'wrap around' garden facing the North Sea! It's too much for me to keep up really, but have sorted the back area out to a large degree, but the front is just a wild flower area doing it's own thing. I'm plagued with tall grasses growing up amongst the mature shrubs, & it's a constant battle with strong winds & weeds! I'm interested in gardening & wish I could sort the front out. It only looks good in Spring when all the wildflowers take over !
