About me
I love my garden, but finding it rather hard work these days. I used to be a member of the Royal Horticultural Society, and enjoy gardening, and reading about it. I retired from my professional work about 4 years ago. Recently I have started writing articles about gardening on Squidoo, my most popular one being 10 Plants That Grow in the Shade, and my most recent one being "Purple Flowers and Mauve Flowers for Christmas" (is it all right to put this information in my profile? - please tell me if not, and I will take it down).

Gardening expertise
Very Keen

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Creating an attractive shady border in my back garden, and also redesigning my front garden as a Cottage Garden, very cheaply, but surprisingly succesfully.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Slugs and Snails - I've even written a poem and a webpage called "War on Slugs"! My garden is completely over-run by them, and I've taken to going out in the dark to collect them by hand - maybe 100 at a time - a lot for a small garden

The gardening project I am currently working on
Making the garden more fertile, as it was neglected for many years whilst I was working long hours.
