Valerie Littlewood, Val's New and Hopeful Garden (PE28)

Styles: Allotment or vegetable plot, Wildflower, Wildlife

Soil types: Clay

Soil drainage: Boggy damp conditions, Moisture-retentive

Soil pH: Acid

Light: Full Sun, Partial Shade

Aspect: North, South

Hardiness: Indoor unheated (H2), Hardy (H4)

A new garden for me, but on heavy clay..which is going to be a challenge after the beautiful soil of Lincolnshire. Small, south facing back garden and miserable patch of north facing muddy grass to the front. It belongs to the ugliest home I have ever had so remedial action to pretty up the bungalow is urgent. Most of the garden is grass, which will hopefully become a bee paradise with a few veg thrown in!
