About me
I've been working in this field since 2007 and the business has evolved since the early days. I've come to settle on ecologically informed planting design because it brings two strands of my career together. Having studied ecology and Edinburgh University, then deviating into garden design it was high time to combine the two. Actually this is an exciting time to be working this way as it is gathering momentum and establishing itself in the main stream. We can't ignore any longer the droughts and other global warming issues. The way we plant landscapes and gardens has to take this into account. To do this a closer appreciation of plant ecology is essential. My schemes are aesthetic and ecologically based - there doesn't have to be compromise.
