Kingfishers is a long, narrow garden behind a conventional 1960's semi. The garden starts with a pond by the terrace, leading to a mixed border planted for year round interest. Cottage-style planting, mediterranean bed, hot border and raised vegetable beds. A wildlife friendly area slopes down to country views and the river Beane, where kingfishers are often seen.

Sheron

About me
I've been a keen gardener for about 10 years and I enjoy learning something new every day.

Gardening expertise
Very Keen

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Transforming my garden, which was weed-infested and covered in crazy paving, into an oasis in which I can sit and relax - not that I ever do! Kingfishers was open under the National Gardens Scheme last year for the first time.

Biggest gardening frustrations
So much to do, so little time!
