What is Shoot - My Garden

Newly re-launched! We have just released a new version of Shoot - see a list of what's new below.

Shoot is an award-winning website for gardeners. We were awarded Gardening Which's prestigious best buy for our garden design software (Dec 09 issue page 32) and just won a Smart100 award!

With a Shoot membership, you can create your own personal 'my garden' space online. If you let us know which plants are in your garden, we will send you care reminders each month by email.

Conceived by Nicola Gammon, a 'self-taught' gardener who wanted a simpler way to approach the planting and care of her own garden, Shoot is your gardening resource. Here you will find the tools to help you create and manage your own garden without the need of heavy reference books.

NEW features on Shoot

Easier to use

• New 'My garden notebook' page which gives you a one click management interface to all aspects of your garden, plants lists, care calendar and Shoot membership.
• Adding plants to a garden, a group and adding a planting note at the same time
• New easier to use site navigation

Plants

• A unique Shoot feature - check which plants work in your garden before you add it to your list. Most plants fail because they are planted in the wrong place, so use our unique garden match tool to help you to avoid that costly mistake.
• Find other members who also have a particular plant in their garden

Plants lists

• View your plants list in A-Z order, by Group and by Most recently added
• Move plants from your wish list to your plants I have list as you buy them
• You can now have 10 plants I have and 10 plants I want in the free version of the site.

Images

• Upload and share multiple garden images
• Add multiple images per forum post
• Edit your image thumbnails with our image editor

Forums

• Monitor entire forums (e.g. Allotments) to get alerts about any new topics or posts added

• Add your own business profile images, logo and website address.
• We have added links to and from your business and member pages in Shoot
• Sending a 'client garden' process is easier and we allow you to communicate directly with your clients once a garden is sent to them. They simply register and their garden will be made availabl
