Acer 'Garnet'

Comment from Catherine Tanser

We have had this acer for two years now. It just doesn't seem to grow. Don't understand why instructions say it will tolerate full sun as the leaves are very scorched. Our soil is neutral.

Unknown Pest/Disease

Question from keith hancock

Can anyone help with my dying acer, I am having trouble identifying the problem.

This spring only half the leaves appeared on the tree. Bark of the other half has come off. There does seem to be a white sheen to the bark on the good side.

Can anyone suggest how to identify the problem or treat it.

Keith
