Ajuga reptans

Comment from Miriam Mesa-Villalba

This plant is sometimes confused with water mint; however, it lacks the overpowering scent of mint and flowers earlier in the year. Bugle is an excellent plant for ground cover and can be used at the edge of borders and underneath shrubs.

What Shoot members say...

"As a complete novice with gardening, Shoot has been more help than I ever could of expected. Not only with step by step instructions on what to do, and when to do it, with each individual plant and tree, but also with actually identifying plants which were already planted, of which I had no idea of what they were. Now I know how to actually get the best out of them. "
