Clematis Daniel Deronda growth?

Comment from angela

This year I wanted some late summer flowering Clems for my three trellis's so I planted two of the above plus a Clematis Marie Boissolot. Are the Daniel Deronda slow growers as although I now have some flowers, they hardly seemed to have grown up against my trellis. The Marie Boissolot however has reached it's maxium height already and is at the top of the trelllis.
