Variety or cultivar: 'The President' _ 'The President' is a mid-sized, deciduous climber with glossy, dark-green leaves. In summer it bears large purple-blue flowers with red anthers whose petals are silver on the reverse.

Suggested uses: Wallside and trellises
Cultivation: Plant in fertile, well-drained, preferably chalky soil in full sun or partial shade. Plant the top of the root ball 8cm below the soil surface. The roots and base of the plant should be shaded. Mulch in late winter. Suitable for containers.

i wanted help to find a tree it has to be able to grow in a tub be evergreen only grow about 6 foot not to bushy i would like it to have flo wers any ideas !! it is to block a unsightly veiw i dont know what aspect is but we have full sun from dinnertime right through the rest of the day ifs thats any help

is this a good climber to grow though a tree which has died but dont want to move dead tree as birds use it for feedin on will clematis grow though an cover it or do u have any other suggestions
