Symptoms

- This is one of the common and most serious diseases of apples and pears. Early symptoms include dead-looking twigs and shoots with small sickly leaves. Cankers (sunken, swollen, distorted and cracked areas of bark) may be dotted with small white or red pustules.

Make sure you control woolly aphids, as they might contribute to the problem.

What Shoot members say...

"I LOVE the Shoot website. A garden care plan would have taken days. Instead I have spent just half an hour adding all my new plants to my list and I get the plant care I need!"

Jude, Client of garden designer Terrey Maufe
