Fritillaria imperialis 'Aurora'

Question from William Stewart

I bought my "Fritillaria imperialis 'Aurora'" earlier this spring it was well developed but had no flowers, now it appears to have completely died off, i have been told that this is normal, however I am unsure as it really looks like it has had it.
Can anyone please advise me as to whether this is the case, will it com back next season or shall I compost it, Can supply a picture if needed.

William Stewart.
