Fuchsia magellanica

Comment from Miriam Mesa-Villalba

This fuchsia has delicate 'ballerina' flowers followed by round black fruits, which are edible.
Birds such as linnet, dunnock, bullfinch and even yellowhammer may nest in thick bushes and the caterpillar of the elephant hawk-moth eats the leaves.
