Plants by sex

Question from Laura Thomas

I have just bought a Gaultheria only to discover that the lovely purple berries will not occur again unless I have a nearby male version.

I wish garden centres would sell them in pairs or at least indicate the sex where necessary!

What other plants are divided by sex and need each other to produce fruit. I know holly is one and I understand I also have a male skimmia.
