Margret Hebe

General post from Sarah Carash

Can anyone please offer me any advice?I'm not really green fingered, but I like to try. In March I bought a dwarf margret hebe, I made sure I got the right soil, think it was peat free. It flowered, and looked beautifull, however now, the buds have all gone brown and crispy, and there are tiny green caterpillars that have left webb like goo on the leaves. Should I cut it back, and remove all the brown buds, should I get any treatment etc.

The plant is very special as I lost my cat suddenly in March, and his ashes are buried in the bottom of the planter (that won't have caused this will it?)

Thanks in advance for any advice

Sarah
