Variety or cultivar: 'Kyushu' _ 'Kyushu' is an upright, deciduous shrub with slightly glossy, dark-green, ovate leaves. From late summer to mid-autumn it bears slender, conical flowerheads of creamy-white florets.

My shrub is about 3 years old now and seems disappointingly weedy. I know my soil is not ideal for it however. I have pruned it fairly lightly so far. Should I be braver this year and would you suggest anything more, like sequestrene for instance? Thanks, Anna.
