Variety or cultivar: 'Madame Briot' _ 'Madame Briot' is a small, bushy, evergreen tree with purple young stems. Its dark-green leaves are broadly ovate and spiny with a golden-yellow margin. In spring it bears small, white flowers and in autumn and winter it bears bright-red berries.
