Variety or cultivar: 'Timperley Early' _ 'Timperley Early' is one of the earliest perennial, rhubarb varieties. It produces large, green leaves and fairly long and thick, red based stems that have a good flavour.

Cultivation: Plant in any fertile soil (not winter waterlogged) in an open position in full sun. Dig soil in autumn adding compost or well-rotted manure. Rake in some fertilizer shortly before planting. Plant crowns tops 2.5 cm (1in) below the soil surface.

Why cannot I grow Rhubarb

I have tried to grow rhubarb a number of time from established plants from family as well as buying plant from reputable mailorder companies. This year it lasted over winter and started to grow but then just withered. How can i grow it?
