Blown over in the wind

Question from Sally Reay

Have recently bought this plant and planted it out, but we had a storm 3 days later and some of the side shoots have broken off, can anyone advise as what to do, should I cut the broken bits of and try to propogate them, if so shall I just stick them in potting compost. thanks

Sedum 'Matrona' (Stone crop 'Matrona') flowering already

Question from Eliza M

This plant is new to me. Planted last November. I am surprised that the small pink flowers started appearing a couple of weeks ago which seems very early according to advice. Is there a day length effect of a strong street lamp nearby? thanks

What Shoot members say...

"Just wanted to say what a fantastic website this is. Up till now, have always kept a written diary of my garden's maintenance and plant upkeep. But now am in the process of putting everything on your care calendar, which with all the additional information you can download, is time saving and educational. Keep up the good work!"
