What has happened to my solanum?

Question from Mary Ashby

I have had my solanum crispum for over 20 years. it is growing up the front of my house in a very sheltered location with a south-west aspect. It has always been very vigorous. Suddenly it appears to have died during the last week. Can you suggest what might have caused this?

Question from Gillian Morbey

My solanum crispum, the leaves are turning yellow and dropping. The flowers were also very poor this year. Can anyone help?

SOLANUM CRISPUM (GLASNEVIN)

Question from Stanley Pearce

Hi

We purchased a 2 foot high specimen and transplanted it into an enormous pot about 15 months ago.

We water it regularly - and feed it with 'spray & grow'. However this year we are getting terrible leaf drop (leaves start turning yellow) It has been flowering well but even the flowers seem to be dying off! Have you any ideas as to the reason please or what we can do to bring it back to its former glory?
Thanks

Stanley Pearce
