Species: S. muricatum - S. muricatum is an evergreen shrub with unusual, sweet, round cream-skinned with purple streaks. The pepino dulce fruit resembles a melon (Cucumis melo) in color and taste.

Suggested uses: Add to salads, Beds and borders, Flavouring food and drinks, Greenhouse

Cultivation: Sow seed under glass in late spring. Transplant seedlings into 7.5cm pots. Plant in final situation when 10cm high, 45cm apart. For indoor crops, plant in growbags or pots. Feed weekly with a high potash tomato fertiliser once fruits have set.
