At Shoot we are concerned about your privacy. This policy covers the use of personal information that Shoot collects when you use this website.
What information do we collect? You will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (for example, your name, email address, telephone number) in order to receive or use Shoot services or any additional services from time to time on our website. You will also be asked if you want to receive our monthly email reminders and other services. If you don't want to receive care emails, or any other services, please do not tick the box to say you would like them.
What does Shoot do with your personal information? When you supply any personal information to Shoot (e.g. for Shoot membership, reminders, competitions, and other Shoot community services) we will use personal information collected from you for the following purposes:
For service administration purposes relating to the Shoot service
- To send you details of products and services from us or from third parties which we believe may be of interest to you
- To provide a more personalised service to site users
- Notifying you of changes to the Shoot services or website
- Running competitions or sales promotions
- Conducting market research
In addition Shoot may disclose your personal information where we are obliged or permitted by law; or if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to Shoot or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour. Shoot may use whatever information that is available to us about you to stop such behaviour this may involve informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school e-mail/Internet provider and law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour.
How long will Shoot keep your personal information?
We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use or receive the service or information you have requested, or, in the case of Shoot membership if you no longer wish to continue your registration as a Shoot member. Although we will allow you to delete your own details directly in the future, currently you need to send a notice to us to remove your details from our database to firstname.lastname@example.org
For safety reasons, however, Shoot may store messaging transcript data (including message content, member names, times and dates) arising from the use of Shoot community for a period of twelve months. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Users 16 years and younger. If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian's permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to Shoot. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
Non-personal information. Independent measurement and research companies, may gather non-personal information regarding the visitors to our website on our behalf using cookies, log file data and code which is embedded on our website. Shoot uses this type of information, as with that obtained from other cookies used on the site, to help it improve the services to its users. Advertising. Shoot may include interactive advertising for other businesses including links to these websites (see below). Shoot may use, and provide to these third parties, anonymised demographic data collected from users of the Shoot website to enable these business to target their advertising more appropriately.
Credit Card information. There has been a lot of publicity about Credit Card security on the Internet so Shoot use Worldpay plc as its payment providers. Worldpay plc operate a secure server to process all credit card payments. This process encrypts members' credit or debit card information and authorises payment directly. This means that members' full credit card details are never revealed to Shoot. Worldpay plc may transfer to, process and hold your credit card information in countries either within or outside the European Economic Area in connection with performing their duties.
Links. The Shoot website may contain links to other websites. Please note that Shoot are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites, and we recommend that you read the privacy statements on entering other websites. This privacy statement applies only to information collected by our website.
International data transfers. The use of a website to collect and process personal information inevitably may involve the transmission of data internationally. By visiting our website you acknowledge this and agree to the transmission of data in this way.
Business transfers. In the unlikely event that any of the assets of Shoot were sold to a third party, details of our users would be passed onto that third party as a part of the sale of the business.
