By London garden designer Claudia de Yong. The owners of this Sussex cottage wanted a new path the back where there was a horrid area of nothing.
Previously, there had been a boiler out on a limb which was re-positioned against the wall and a new brick and wooden structure was designed to be in keeping with the cottage.
A new bed was created at the rear with a meandering brick path which ads character and which the resident cat found straight away!
The bed had a limited colour palette and pea sticks were used against the wall of the cottage to give a more rustic feel for the climbers to attach to. At the end of the path were two standard half head Viburnum Tinus with a frame of wigwam shaped pea sticks again to echo the cottage feel.
