Balcony Garden Arcadia evokes a sense of escape with the painted bucolic scenic fading into the distance. The trees the lungs of the city act as sentinels providing a sense of enclosure and each has its' own eco system.

They herald in a touch of the exotic and are in good company with the tropical reclaimed timber Jarrah used for the supports and swing seat, a perfect place to sway and watch the insects collecting nectar from the Salvia, Dahlias and Rudbeckia. The planting and fabrics on the seat are rich in tone chosen to celebrate the joys of Autumn.

A central feature of this design is a set of doors, uncovered in a dusty lock-up in Surrey early in 2020. They had previously been rescued from a palace in India destined for demolition but were kept in storage for more than 20 years. They were discovered by Martha when she was searching for the perfect set of doors for her design.
