This stunning garden was designed to complement a high-end eco-build in the Sussex countryside.
A contemporary design featuring granite slabbing, a raised koi pool with split face slate cladding, and rainbow cobbles. A Mediterranean planting palette completes this modern rural retreat.
Shrubs in varying shades of green merge into the wider landscape setting. These include pittosporum tobira, Pittosporum tennuifolium, Ceanothus and Cornus alba sibirica.
Burgandy, white and red planting gives a dramatic planting mix to a granite grey backdrop. Phormium acts as an architectural backdrop to soft floral elements of Geum and Iris.
Olive green tones combine to soften the front of the house, featuring an olive tree, Hebe pinguifolia and Calamagrostis brachytricha grasses.The contrast against the burgundy of Cercis canadensisis a strong one, adding to the contemporary feel.
Autumn wonder in the shrub bed, where the stems of Cornus alba sibirica take centre stage against the evergreen elements.
