Garden for a wedding

By Brighton garden designer Nick Dexter. The client approached Dexter Garden Design in order to improve the appearance of the garden for a forthcoming wedding. 

The new garden had also to reduce the amount of maintenance and add prolong the seasonal interest.

The design layout is bold, simple and relates the strong architectural characteristics of the house. Brick and gravel combined to form an affordable alternative to lawn.

Other areas of grass were replaced by groundcover species which quickly spread to shield exposed soil from weeds.

Plants of equal competitiveness were chosen so that a natural balance could be achieved. Grasses were used to add impact and movement to the scheme.
