By Surrey garden designer Linda Regel. Neglected areas of a garden around an Arts and Crafts style house in Surrey were redesigned to create interlinking garden rooms.
A cool, formal courtyard features a slate water wall, with olive trees and bamboo adding to the restful feel.
A herb garden is located close to the kitchen. Crisp box hedges contain beds of billowing herbs, and beautifully detailed brick paving surround a central bay tree.
The pergola is planted with roses, evergreen jasmine Trachelospermum jasminoides, and lavender, to provide a scented walkway.
Brick steps have been designed with tile on edge risers, to reflect the tile detailing of the house.
