Hi Katie - fairly certain that is the hosta I mentioned in my previous post. We asked the garden designer Tom Stuart-Smith, but so far no reply. I hope that helps? Thanks!

Good morning Katie - we will ask our community for you.
How great you found our coverage of the The Laurent-Perrier Garden Chelsea Garden Show 2008 with plant list!
We hope to have an answer for you soon. I think it may have been 'Hosta Devon Green'
All the best, Nicola

I wonder if it could be a variety of Fritillaria.

It is a Eucomis or pineapple lily

Hi, can anybody identify this please. It's around 14" tall. Leaves look like Hosta as they emerge, but the flower is different. Has come up in a newly dug sunny border. Thanks.

Thank you so much for your help. I had a look and you are right. I think I have Hosta sieboldiana var. elegans.

look for hosta sieboldiana, there are many varieties, but that puckered look is mostly the sieboldianas.

We've got two Hosta plants, but not sure if they are Aphrodite or Japonica.
I looked online and they seem so similar that I cannot come to a decision.
Thank you for any help.

I have a north and west facing border. I have three large shrubs in there and it’s under planted with hostas and ferns. It has been planted for several years now without any problems. This year, my hostas and ferns have gotten yellow spots on them and the hostas were already starting to die back. Any ideas on what is causing it?

It is a hosta, needs morning sun, no afternoon sun, would be better in the ground or lots of water in a pot.

Planted near a pond and is about 30 inches across and probably 2ft high. Looks a bit like a hosta or canna lily...no flower yet.

We have not noticed any green slugs but most slugs hate garlic. Use 1 clove of garlic in 1/2 litre of water or water and oil mixed, bring, to the boil and leave for a few days . Water or spray it on and around Hostas and any other plants known to be favourite fodder for slugs and snails. It is a bit time consuming, as it really needs to be done after it rains, but worth it. starting this year I have big leaved hostas as well as lupins and foxgloves. MAGIC! Good luck.

Check and see if it is hosta sieboldiana, there are too many hostas to keep track of ever one of them.

My garden looked pretty bare when I moved in in February but this impressive Hosta has appeared and filled a huge gap. It has spead to around 2m across and 0.6m high and the leaves are roughly 30 x 15cm.
Can anyone name the variety?

Dear Phil, please see attached screenshots. You can search the plant name using the predictive search at the top of the website.
I typed in the words Hosta frosted and found one match but not your specific plant Hosta Frosted Mouse Ears. Underneath the search bar there is an option for you to request we add this plant for you. Again see the screenshots attached.
Please let me know if this search works for you or if you need more help.
Many thanks, Nicola
p.s. we are now working on an enhancement which will allow you to keep a record of requested plants while we are working to enter them for you.
