Hi Anita,

Sorry to hear about your hedge. Paddy’s Pride, or Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart' is a good choice, as would be any fast growing evergreen climber. Boston ivy, or Parthenocissus tricuspidata is another. It’s very fast growing and goes the most stunning deep crimson in autumn. Alternatively how about Clematis armandii? It’s evergreen and has beautiful scented white blooms in spring.

When planting anything like this, it’s best to dig over the earth and add a bit of well rotted organic matter beforehand. Once planted keep well watered until established.
