Persicaria campanulata of some sort. Just dig it out and it doesn't come back.

Hi,
I agree with Angie and Catherine - it's a Persicara. I'm pretty sure it'sPersicaria campanulata.
Hope this helps!

Hi Angie
I've just been looking at a friend's RHS Encycleopedia of Plants and Flowers, and suspect it might be a very happy persicaria campanulata. It is a great plant because it was flowering profusely all through the summer and autumn. Thanks so much for your help.
Best wishes

Persicaria campanulata possibly.
I have it growing in my garden and it is a thug.A pretty thug . It was sold to me as "Shellys Bells" and was growing in pure gravel. It was lush with pink flowers and was reasonably contained. In my garden in soil, it want mad.
Avoid like the plague. It was thrown out for a reason.
