Hi Angela,

Roses such as this should be moved when dormant and leafless. Cut down to a couple of feet above the ground, removing any particularly old or gnarly wood, dig it up, (neatening any damaged roots with sharp secateurs), and plant it in the new location, having dug some organic matter and a small amount of rose fertiliser into the soil.

It may take a while for the rose to fully recover, but this is a strong and vigourous variety so you should find it does make a full recovery.
