In forum: Identify a plant
Hi Heidi, a follower on our social media says "salvia viridis. A hardy annual, easily grown from seed". Looks good to us!
Some other suggestions include:
"Have you looked up Clary?"
"Or Salvia sclarea, clary sage..."
"I believe it's "Painted Sage" Salvia Horminum"
Another vote just in for "Salvia horminum" which appears to be another name for Salvia viridis again - so seems a lot of agreement.
Hope this helps?

Hi Elaine,
Thanks for your reply. No, I'm afraid it's not a Salvia! I've wondered whether it might be an obscure member of the Verbena family, but I can't find any trace of it anywhere. Do you have any more ideas?
Regards
Susan

looks like salvia sclarea, it is a biennial, you will have to let it seed if you want it or dead head it you don't.

Salvia sclarea, since salvia is called sage you can see where the mix up would be.
