In forum: Identify a plant

We found this at a plant sale last year but no-one knows what it is. The stems come from a single point and it has had leaves all year round.
We would like to know what it is and how to best care for it. Thanks

Can anyone identify this plant ?

Comment from Mr Michael John Etheridge

This plant appeared in an outdoor flower pot over a month ago in January/ February. Next to it is a Pansy. It has bulbous flower buds that hang similar to a Poppy and leaves not unlike a Lupin.

Cultivars

Question from Val Hall

In forum: New to gardening

I am planting up a new area of my garden with fruit trees and bushes, I have bought a Vaccinium corymbosum 'Patriot' blueberry and on research it says "For optimal pollination and yield plant three different cultivars."
Does this mean I have to get more blueberry varieties or can this be done with say blackcurrant for example?
Sorry if this is a silly question but I am new to this type of gardening.

Help please identifying this bush?

Question from Alice Crick

In forum: Edible gardening

Hi there, we moved into our property at the end of last year, and in the pretty empty (aside from some rhubarb) veg patch, there are two gnarly, spiky bushes. I wonder if they're gooseberries, but am pretty new to gardening! Any pointers on what they are would be really appreciated! Thank you
