Lavender boarder

Question from Paula moynihan

I want to create a continuous lavender border along a border down a drive. How far apart should I plant them in order to get a boarder without gaps?

Lavandula angustifolia

Comment from Miriam Mesa-Villalba

Lavender much favoured by bees for nectar and pollen. The seeds will attract birds. Lavender has traditionally been used in pot-pourri, herb pillows and in small muslin bags to put between clean linen or to infuse bathwater. It is regarded as having relaxing properties, which may aid sleep and help soothe away tension headaches. It can be used like bay leaves to infuse lamb, or flavour jams and jellies.

Comment from Mari Karkkainen

Scent of lavender is very relaxing and it has been used for relaxing bubble baths and massage oils. Using fresh lavender flowers and infusing them in hot water you can make you own bed time tea to help you wind down after busy day. Easy and cost effective.
