Question from
Chaenomeles (Japanese Quince) - for past 2 yrs has had what I think is Brown Rot Fungus. Masses of flowers but the bunches turn brown and fruit doesn't develop. They stay on tree till I break them off and dispose of. The leaves don't seem to be affected. Thinned out the internal branches last year to let air into it, and maintained feed but starting to occur again this year. Can anyone suggest a product to control it, please. Have, of course, googled it, but all the chemicals seem to be unsuitable for birds and insects. Help much appreciated as it's such a great specimen. Thanks.
